Monash Children's Hospital
The Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Monash Children’s Hospital delivers specialised, 24/7 care for critically ill babies, children and adolescents. Our state‑of‑the‑art 10‑bed unit is staffed by expert intensive care doctors and nurses, providing life‑support and advanced medical care for the hospital’s sickest patients.
As one of only two tertiary paediatric ICUs in Victoria, we treat children from our emergency department, wards, operating theatres and from other hospitals across Victoria, Tasmania and NSW. Most patients come from the Monash Health catchment in South Eastern Melbourne, with many transferred from regional areas.
2026 courses
Monash runs three Paediatric Basic courses each year — one for Medical participants in November, and two for Nursing participants in May and November.
If you have been offered a place in an upcoming course, please access the ticket page and purchase your ticket.
